Appwing Privacy Policy

Appwing (appwing.us) is an internship-application assistant: a Claude connector, a dashboard, and a browser extension that fill internship applications from a profile you build. This page describes what we store, where it is stored, and what we do not collect. The rules for using the service, including the subscription, are in the Terms of Service.

What we store

• Your Google identity — name, email address, and Google account id, used only to sign you in. We request identity scopes only (openid, email, profile).
• Your profile — the work history, education, skills, links, work-authorization answers, and optional demographic answers you provide, used to fill applications you initiate.
• Your resume — the file you upload, plus resumes tailored per posting from your own material.
• Your application tracker — the postings you applied to, their statuses, timeline events, and screenshots captured during an application you approved.

Everything is stored per-account on Cloudflare (D1, R2, KV), scoped to your user id, encrypted in transit and at rest by the platform.

Payments and usage

Payment details go to Stripe, not to us. Appwing Plus is billed through Stripe, you enter your card on Stripe's own pages, and Appwing never sees or stores your card number. What we store is your subscription status — which plan you are on, when the period ends, and the Stripe customer and subscription ids that identify it — which is what the dashboard reads to know what your account may do. Cancelling and changing a card happen in Stripe's billing portal.

We record what our own model calls cost. Every time Appwing runs a model for you — parsing a resume, a turn of the resume chat — we write a row with the account, the model, the token counts and the estimated cost. It is cost accounting and capacity planning, it is never sold or shared, and it holds no part of your resume or your answers.

What we never do

• We never read your email. Appwing holds no Gmail credential and requests no Gmail scope. If you choose to connect Gmail to Claude, that connection is between you and Anthropic; Appwing only stores what Claude explicitly records in your tracker.
• We never submit an application without your approval of a screenshot of the filled form.
• We never fabricate resume content — tailored resumes are validated against your own profile and rejected otherwise.
• We never sell or share your data with anyone. No analytics trackers, no advertising, no data brokers.
• We never see your passwords. Sign-in is Google OAuth; captchas and logins during applications are always handed back to you.

The browser extension

The extension autofills application forms from a copy of your profile and resume cached in your browser's extension storage. It runs only on the internship-application sites listed in its manifest, talks only to mcp.appwing.us, and embeds no secrets or third-party code. Disconnecting it (or a failed authentication) deletes the cached profile and resume.

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained until you delete it. Removing your resume or profile on the dashboard deletes the stored copy. To delete your account and all associated data, email us. We remove the account record, and everything else is deleted with it.
